Hamilton Police are actively investigating a recent house fire/explosion incident and are appealing to anyone with information to contact police.

On the morning of Friday, April 19, police received reports of a house fire and explosion in the area of Highway 6 and Concession 4, with emergency responders arriving at the scene just prior to 7 a.m.

During this critical timeframe, an individual matching the description provided was sighted in the area, moving southbound along Highway 6 shortly after the onset of the fire.

The individual is described as having a medium build, dressed in dark attire, donning white gloves, carrying a black backpack featuring a logo at its centre, and holding a white bag.
