Those who like using the NEXUS lane to cross the border will soon be paying more for the privilege.

For the first time in over 15 years, U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced it will be upping the price for some of its Trusted Traveler Programs.

It plans to harmonize fees for the NEXUS, Global Entry, and SENTRI programs. All three will soon cost $120 USD.

Right now it’s $50 USD for a NEXUS pass and $100 USD for Global Entry. The SENTRI pass, which is used at Southern land border ports, currently has an “a la carte” fee structure.

“Once the rule goes into effect, applicants under the age of 18 will be exempt from the application fee when a parent or legal guardian is already a member of, or concurrently applying for NEXUS, SENTRI, or Global Entry,” said a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

The new fees go into effect on October 1.
