FlamboroughToday received the following letter from reader Gary Aikema regarding the Campbellville Quarry.

We need that quarry. Right now we have trucks trundling up Brock Road (five stop signs) to 97, turning left on Hwy. 6 then north to the 401 and passing the proposed quarry site! This is an extra 32 km each way to get gravel to where it is needed.

This always was a quarry site, and designated for mineral extraction. So those opposed should think about those that have trucks driving past their homes starting at 5 a.m. Reid Side Road has no homes on it and is only about 1 km from the 401.

If you are thinking in environmental terms, the less trucking the better.
