The site of the new Parkside Hills Park would be near the Waterdown water tower on Nisbet Boulevard.

City planners are working on a park proposal for east Waterdown, and they're looking for feedback on the design.

According to the City of Hamilton website, Parkside Hills Park would be located near the water tower at 110 Nisbet Boulevard,  bordered by Cole Street to the east, Nisbet Boulevard to the south, White Gates Drive to the west, and future housing to the north. The water tower is at the south-east corner of the site, which is about 1.97 hectares.

According to the City, local residents have a chance to shape the vision of this space. The project scope will include:

  • Playground equipment
  • Sun shelter
  • Multi-use court
  • 3m wide asphalt walkways
  • Drinking fountain
  • Benches
  • Tree plantings

During the consultation period, residents will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the design concepts, multi-use court options and playground features.

For more info or to participate in the online survey, visit the city's website.
