Teen volunteers wanted for library's Summer Reading Buddies program

The Hamilton Public Library is looking for reliable, patient, and trustworthy teens between the ages of 14 and 18 for it Summer Reading Buddies program.

Summer Reading Buddies volunteers help children who have finished Grades 1 through 6 to continue reading throughout the summer.

Volunteering for the Summer Reading Buddies program is a great way to earn volunteer hours and get experience working with kids. The commitment is about one hour to 90 minutes per week.

The program runs during July and August and encourages reluctant readers enjoy reading through educational board games and activities.

High school students interested in volunteering for the 2024 Summer Reading Buddies program can complete the online volunteer application form by Friday, May 31.
